Description

The three counties of Houston, Muscogee, and Talbot are located in the west-central area of Georgia and were formed in the 1820's from areas previously designated as "Indian lands." This collection of marriage records, taken from original county documents, includes the names of both bride and groom, along with the wedding date. Marriage records from Houston County range from 1826 to 1852, while records from Muscogee County range from 1835 to 1850. Records from Talbot County range from 1828 to 1844. With nearly 3000 records, this can be a helpful source of information for researchers of Georgian ancestors.
